INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - The Indiana University Kokomo women's soccer team continued their gauntlet of a start to the season Wednesday at 19th ranked Marian University, where the high-powered Knight attack led Marian to a commanding win over the Cougars.
IU Kokomo falls to 0-2-0 on the season with the loss, but will return home looking to enter the win column with the home opener looming Friday night at 7:00. The Cougars will welcome the Freed-Hardeman Lions to town for a rematch of the first ever meeting between the two programs last fall.
Junior goalkeeper
Kailee Moore made a pair of saves in the opening three minutes to keep the Knights off the scoreboard, but the floodgates opened soon after. Marian found the back of the net three times in the opening 10 minutes to put the Cougars behind early, before scoring four more first half goals to take a 7-0 lead into the halftime locker room.
The 19th ranked Knights would score a pair of second half goals as they cruised to their second victory of the season.
