BROOKINGS, SD. - Indiana University Kokomo freshman thrower
Sydney Duncan represented the Cougars in the NAIA Indoor Track and Field National Championships in Brookings, South Dakota this weekend.
Sydney was the only freshman in the country to qualify for NAIA Indoor Nationals in Women's Shot Put. She put the country on notice with a sixth-place finish and school record throw of 14.07m.
Duncan is now the fifth all-American in program history and the first ever IU-Kokomo freshmen to earn the honor.

The Cougars will kick of the outdoor track season with a trip to Myrtle Beach, SC to compete in the Alan Connie Shamrock Invite from March 14 - March 16.
