Volleyball to Open NAIA Volleyball Championship Pool Play Thursday Against #19 Midland

SIOUX CITY, Iowa. - The 11th ranked Indiana University Kokomo volleyball team is set to open Pool Play at the 2024 NAIA Women's Volleyball Championship Thursday, as they are in Pool F alongside #6 Eastern Oregon and #19 Midland.

All 24 remaining teams that have made it to the final site in Sioux City are divided into eight pools of three teams, where the team with the best record from each pool will then advance to single-elimination bracket play. If a tiebreaker set is required, it will be played Friday night.

The first match in Pool F is the 6th ranked Mountaineers of EOU and the 19th ranked Warriors of Midland Wednesday at 4:30 PM CT.

IU Kokomo comes to Sioux City with an overall record of 32-5 after beating in-state foe Indiana Tech at home in the NAIA Volleyball Championship Opening Round. The Cougars are the 2024 River States Conference Regular Season Champions, and are appearing in Sioux City for the fourth time in the last six years and fifth time in program history.

Midland enters the week with an overall record of 18-11, beating RV Dakota State in four sets in an Opening Round matchup in Nebraska. IUK and Midland met in the first match of the season on a neutral court, with the Cougars emerging victorious in four sets in the programs' first meeting all-time.

Eastern Oregon comes to Iowa with a 29-4 overall record, having hosted the University of California - Merced in an Opening Round match. The Mountaineers took care of the Bobcats in four sets to advance to Sioux City.
