LANSING, Mich. - The IU Kokomo women's basketball team played their first road game of a six-game road stretch Saturday afternoon at Cleary, falling 73-53.

The Cougars will be busy this week with a span of three road games in five days, beginning Tuesday at Lourdes. Tip-off in Ohio is set for 6:00 PM.

Saturday's contest saw Cleary dominate the first and third quarters, as IU Kokomo outscored the Cougars in second and fourth quarters combined by a point. IU Kokomo jumped out to a quick 5-0 lead behind an Anna Kiser basket in the paint and a Chloe McClain triple, but Cleary scored nine-straight to take a 9-5 lead of their own nearly five minutes into the game.

The Cougars of Cleary led by just one at 12-11 before scoring the final eight points of the quarter to lead 20-11 after one.

Head coach Lisa Pflueger's squad went down 11 early in the second, immediately answering however with a 7-0 run to trail by just four. Cleary built the lead back to double-digits from there, but enjoyed a 31-24 halftime lead.

IU Kokomo impressively trimmed their deficit to one on two occasions in the third quarter, but were unable to take over the lead. Leading IUK by one at 41-40 with 4:14 remaining in the third, Cleary finished the period on a 20-2 run to carry a commanding 19 point lead to the fourth quarter. 

Cleary maintained a 19+ point lead for the entirety of the fourth quarter en route to a 73-53 win over IU Kokomo.

Anna Kiser led IU Kokomo as the lone Cougar with double digit points, scoring 15 points, grabbing eight rebounds, and dishing three assists, while eight other Cougars scored Saturday,
