SPRING ARBOR, Mich. - The Indiana University Kokomo women's tennis team opened their 2023-2024 season Friday afternoon, as they traveled to Michigan to take on Spring Arbor. The Cougars of SAU beat the Cougars of IUK 7-0.

All three doubles matches went the way of Spring Arbor, however their are several takeaways from IU Kokomo's side of things.
Reiley Hiser and
Chloe Schmidt played a tight set at #2 doubles, ultimately falling 7-5.Â
Ava Allen, in her first collegiate match, competed well alongside
Maria Oliveira at #1 doubles. The IUK #3 doubles duo of Lilli Fishero and
Breanna Koester also managed to win three games.
Unlike doubles play, Spring Arbor won comfortably in each of the six singles matches.
Chloe Schmidt managed to force a second-set tiebreaker, while
Maria Oliveira and
Lillianne Fishero each won four games in the opening sets of their matches.
