Greensburg, Pa. KOKOMO, Ind. - The IU Kokomo women's tennis team made quick work out of a long road trip to play Carlow (Pa.) at the Greensburg Racquet Club and took home a convincing 7-0 win.  The win came less than two days after hosting Indiana Wesleyan and brings the overall record to 4-6 with an even 2-2 record this Spring.

4. Fishero (IUK) def. Kobak (CU) 6-0, 6-2
5. Schmidt (IUK) def. Stolitza (CU) 6-2, 6-1
6. Koester (IUK) def. Hoang (CU) 6-0, 6-0

DOUBLES:
1. Reiley Hiser / Maria Oliveira (IUK) def. Karissa Miller / Julia Piatt (CU) 6-0
2. Chloe Schmidt / Larissa O'Rourke (IUK) def. Josie Kobak / Jensen Stolitza (CU) 6-0
3. Lillianne Fishero / Breanna Koester (IUK) def. Alexa Ward / Anny Hoang (CU) 6-0

Overall, the team lost just eight games against the Celtics, all of them coming in singles play.  Maria Oliveira played on the top spot for IU Kokomo and defeated Karissa Miller without surrendering a game in either set.  Breanna Koester, playing 6th for IUK was also a 6-0, 6-0 winner against Anny Hoang of Carlow.  

The rest of the IUK scoring came from Reiley Hiser at 2nd singles, Larissa O'Rourke playing 3rd both winning in straight sets, giving up only 3 games to the Celtics.  Freshmen Lillieanne Fishero and Chloe Schmidt rounded out the singles sweep at 4th and 5th, both winning in dominating fashion.   

IU Kokomo made quick work out of the all three doubles courts winning by a score of 6-0 each.  Heiser was teamed up with Oliveira and took down Miller and Julia Piatt while Chloe Schmidt paired up with O'Rourke to win on the 2nd doubles line.  Rounding out the IU Kokomo doubles point, Breanna Koester and Fishero won against Alexa Ward and Hoang on court 3. 

 The Cougars are off for three weeks until departing on their Spring Break trip to Tennessee.  They will play RSC foe Brescia on March 10 which begins a stretch of five matches in six days.
