Box Score KOKOMO, Ind. - The IUK Men's Basketball team finished their season with an 82-62 win against the Brescia Bearcats on Senior Celebration Day. Four IUK seniors were honored before tipoff, including Hunter White, Darian Porch, Xavier Hines, and Zach Rinehart.

Both teams got off to a slow offensive start, as Brescia would lead by a score of 4-2 after the first seven minutes of the game. At the midway point of the half, the score was tied at 8, before a layup plus a free throw from Chris Chin and another layup from Hunter White gave the Cougars a 5 point lead. Julien Hunter scored a two point jumper and a dunk, followed by free throws from Hunter Jackson and Darian Porch, giving the Cougars a 20-13 lead with three and a half minutes remaining in the half.

From here, Julien Hunter and Ty Willis would each score back to back layups, paving the way for a 12-4 run in the final three minutes of the first half. The Cougars took a 32-20 lead going into halftime.

The opening possession of the second half saw a layup from Zach Rinehart, which kicked off a 15-3 scoring run for the Cougars through the first five minutes, punctuated by three pointers from Xavier Hines and Hunter Jackson as well as a pair of free throws from Hunter White. This early run gave the Cougars a 47-25 lead.

At the midway point of the second half, Julien Hunter scored five free throws and a layup, followed by a layup and a triple from Zach Rinehart to give IUK a 64-41 lead. The Cougars' offensive surge never stopped, as the Bearcats would not trail by less than 15 points for the rest of the game. At the buzzer, IU Kokomo had earned a dominant 82-62 victory.

Julien Hunter was the Cougars leading scorer in the win with 13 points. Chris Chin also scored 11 points.

Celebrated seniors scored as follows - Darian Porch scored 11 points, Hunter White had 8 points, Zach Rinehart had 7 points, and Xavier Hines scored 5 points. Rinehart also recorded an impressive eleven rebounds.

The IUK Cougars finish their season with a record of 21-7, including a 15-3 mark in conference games.
