GREENTOWN, Ind. - The IU Kokomo women's tennis team earned their first win of the spring season Wednesday night, beating in-state foe Saint Francis 7-0. The Cougs are now 3-5 on the season.

IU Kokomo started their first home match of the spring strong, taking the doubles-point in convincing fashion. The Cougars won #3 doubles by default while the #1 doubles duo of
Andrea Saylor and
Reiley Hiser cruised to a 6-0 win, clinching the doubles-point. The #2 doubles pairing of
Larissa O'Rourke and
Maria Oliveira dropped just two games, winning 6-2 to complete the doubles sweep.
As they did in doubles, the Cougars of IU Kokomo got a free point at #6 singles due to a lack of players, extending the IU Kokomo lead to 2-0. Freshman Lillie Fishero dominated in her first home-match of her career. winning 6-0, 6-0 at #5 singles.

Reiley Hiser each dropped just one game, winning their matches 6-0, 6-1 to give IU Kokomo a 4-0 lead and clinching the match win.
Maria Oliveira won 6-0, 6-2 at #2 singles and
Andrea Saylor won 6-0, 6-2 at #4 singles.
IU Kokomo will be back-in-action next Wedneday with another match at the Howard County Indoor Tennis Center. this time against nationally ranked Indiana Wesleyan. First-serve is set for 7:00 P.M.
