KOKOMO, Ind. - Five IU Kokomo athletics programs are set to see action in the week ahead, highlighted by a chance at an Esports Championship in year one of the program.

Esports head coach Nick Liegey's Overwatch team has experienced immense success in year one, having completed an undefeated regular season before advancing to this Thursday's NECC Navigator Division Great Lakes Conference Championship matchup with the Southern Illinois Salukis.

Men's and women's indoor track and field began competition last weekend at UIndy, and the Cougars will return to action this weekend at Indiana Tech's "Warrior Opener" meet.

Women's basketball dropped a heartbreaker to open River States Conference play last week at IU East, but after some time off, the Cougars will play at IU Southeast Saturday afternoon in game one of the men's and women's doubleheader.

Men's basketball also fell at IU East in a close contest to begin RSC play last week, and this Saturday's matchup at IU Southeast is a rematch of the 2023 RSC Championship game in which the Grenadiers took home the victory. The Cougars and Grenadiers will be a must-watch game this Saturday afternoon.
