IU Kokomo comes to Sioux City with an overall record of 33-3 after beating Morningside University (Iowa) at home in the NAIA National Championship Opening Round. The Cougars are the 2023 River States Conference Regular Season and Tournament Champions.
The 23rd ranked Oklahoma Wesleyan Eagles have already played their first pool play match, a three-set loss to 2nd ranked Indiana Wesleyan Wednesday morning. A win from the Cougars over OKWU Thursday would eliminate the Eagles from the tournament. This year's tournament appearance is their first ever in program history.
As mentioned, the 2nd ranked and undefeated Indiana Wesleyan Wildcats took care of business Wednesday, winning a three-setter over OKWU. The Wildcats will have Thursday off before playing IU Kokomo in the final Pool B matchup of the week.Â
