KOKOMO, Ind. – The Indiana University Kokomo volleyball team will travel to Michigan for this weekend's invitational hosted by Aquinas College and Cornerstone University. The Cougars, who are 6-2, will look to build upon consecutive 3-1 weekends to open the season.

The Cougars have strung together consecutive 3-1 weekends to open the 2022 season, taking down fellow Top 25 vote-getter Bethel University (Ind.) last weekend on their home court. IU Kokomo is off to another solid start this season, and one of their two losses was to #18 Taylor University (Ind.).

IU Kokomo's first opponent of the weekend, St. Xavier (Ill.), received 65 votes in the latest NAIA Top 25 poll, just missing a spot in the top 25. The Cougars of St. Xavier enter the weekend with a plethora of momentum, having taken down #11 Indiana Wesleyan in straight-sets last Saturday.

Cornerstone University enters the weekend with a record of 6-3. The Golden Eagles lost their first three matches of the season to some stiff competition, including the #2 & #13 teams in the nation, but have reeled off six-straight wins since. 

The Judson University Eagles come into the Aquinas/Cornerstone Invite with a 6-2 mark, including a 3-0 win over one of IU Kokomo's RSC foes, Ohio Christian.

The Saints of Aquinas College come into play this weekend with a record of 2-8. The Saints and IU Kokomo share one common opponent played already this season in Bethel. IUK beat Bethel 3-2 and Aquinas lost to Bethel 3-1.
