KOKOMO, Ind. – The IU Kokomo volleyball team will play three matches this week, including their final two non-conference matches of the regular season. The Cougars will take on River States Conference opponent Midway University in between the two non-conference matches.

The Cougars are 11-3 so far this season, and 1-0 in River States Conference action. This past Saturday, IU Kokomo took down IU East in four sets before dispatching Trinity International in four sets as well. IUK faced two completely different opponents in terms of strategy, and rose to the occasion for a 2-0 week.

IU South Bend enters the week with 4-10 mark, having played three teams IUK has already played. IUSB has lost to Bethel and beat Aquinas 3-2 as well as Judson 3-0. The Cougars are 3-0 against those teams this season. IU Kokomo is 2-1 all-time against IU South Bend.

2021 River States Conference Championship runner-up Midway University will look to take down the Cougars, having last played IUK for the RSC Championship. Midway was voted to finish second in the RSC Volleyball Preseason Coaches' Poll, 17 votes behind IUK.

The Eagles of Midway have played just four matches, and are yet to drop a set. Midway will open RSC play Tuesday as they host Oakland City. IU Kokomo is 16-1 all-time against Midway.

Shawnee State comes into the week with a record of 5-7. The Bears have played five RSC teams, and share one common opponent with the Cougs. The Bears lost to IU East in straight sets, while the Cougs beat IU East 3-1 last weekend. IU Kokomo is 2-0 all-time against Shawnee State.
