KOKOMO, Ind. – The IU Kokomo volleyball team will play their first two home matches of the season Saturday afternoon. The Cougars will play their first River States Conference foe in IU East before taking on Trinity International University (Ill.) later that afternoon.

IU Kokomo enters their first two home matches with a record of 9-3. The Cougars have strung together three consecutive 3-1 weekends to open the season. Two of IU Kokomo's three losses have come to teams now ranked in the Top 25.

IU East, the Cougs first conference opponent of the year, comes into the weekend with a 10-2 mark. The Red Wolves were voted to finish third in the 2022 RSC Volleyball Coaches' Preseason Poll. IU East's two losses this year came to Marian University, the current #3 team in the nation. 

The Trojans of Trinity International come into Saturday's match with an impressive 11-2 record of their own. IU Kokomo and Trinity International share one common opponent played so far this season in Concordia University (Mich.). The Cougars swept Concordia while Trinity International lost their first match of the year to Concordia in five-sets.
