KOKOMO, Ind. – The Indiana University Kokomo women's tennis team will open the 2022 regular season by welcoming Spring Arbor University (Mich.) to town for a non-conference matchup Friday afternoon.

The Cougars of IU Kokomo, under seventh-year head coach Kristine Miller, enter the 2022 season looking to build upon a 2021 campaign that saw them set the program record for wins with 14. Coach Miller's squad earned the number three seed in the River States Conference Championship with a regular season RSC mark of 5-2., falling to Oakland City in the semifinals of the RSC Championship.

The Spring Arbor University Cougars are also set to open regular season play Friday afternoon, and they come into the 2022 season on the backs of a 13-9 2021 record. SAU finished with a Crossroads League record of 6-2 but fell in the tournament semifinals to Marian University (Ind.).

IU Kokomo and Spring Arbor share some history, as the two programs have met four times since 2019. All four contests have gone the way of Spring Arbor.
