KOKOMO, Ind. - The Indiana University Kokomo men's basketball team will host IU Northwest Wednesday night for their home opener. Wednesday's matchup with the RedHawks is the Cougars only game of the week.

IU Kokomo opened the season last weekend at Governors State's Jaguars Tip-Off Classic, where they cruised to two wins. The Cougars beat Governors State 90-64 Friday before beating Great Lakes Christian College 79-49 Saturday afternoon.

The RedHawks opened their season Saturday at Taylor University, where they fell 87-72. IU Northwest jumped out to a 12-point lead over Taylor, but hot shooting from the Trojans allowed them to lead at the half. IU Northwest shot 44% from the field in the season opener, but were just 3-23 from three-point range.

IU Northwest was led by Jared Johnson and Isaac Stanback Saturday, as each scored 17 points. The Cougars are 10-7 all-time against IU Northwest, but lost both matchups last year against the RedHawks.
