Brent Martin

Brent Martin was hired as Assistant Athletic Director - Communications in September 2022.  Martin also serves as the Head Coach, Men's Golf.  
 
Brent has twelve years experience in the realm of business and sports.  He has six years experience working and coaching in college athletics as well as several years working in business finance, budget and education.  Martin graduated from Cedarville University in 2009 with a degree in Sport Management.  He received a Master's degree from Xavier University in 2011 in Sport Administration.  

Martin is no stranger to the River States Conference, having been a Professor and Coach at Ohio Christian University since 2016. He was the program director for Sport Business Management, faculty professor and advisor within the School of Business.  Martin was the Director of Golf for the Trailblazers since 2020 and men's and women's tennis head coach for four years prior.  
 
Coach Martin played both golf and tennis collegiately at Cedarville University. He was a three-year letter winner for the Yellow Jackets on the links. Martin was part of a team that set the program record for lowest 18-hole and lowest 36-hole team score.  He earned three letters in tennis at Cedarville, garnering NCCAA All-American honors in 2008.

"Brent has a clear vision for the future of IU Kokomo men's golf, and we look forward to watching the program continue to grow under his leadership."
 
Brent and his wife Cassia reside in Westfield, Indiana with their daughter Mavalyn.
