Coach Gaylor has been the throws coach at Indiana University Kokomo for four years, with his first season being the 2021-2022 season.
During his tenure on staff, he has coached his athletes to several school records while seeing multiple student-athletes earn All-Conference and All-America honors, all while coaching several athletes to the NAIA Track and Field Indoor and Outdoor National Championships.
He has also coached Sydney Duncan to the 2024 Indoor and Outdoor National Championships and the 2025 Indoor National Championships in the Shot Put, Weight Throw, and Hammer Throw. Sydney has the second best Shot Put throw in NAIA Indoor Track and Field history.
In addition to Sydney's successes, his female Shot Putters swept the podium at the 2024 River States Conference Outdoor Championships, while his male Weight Throwers swept the podium at the 2025 River States Conference Indoor Championships.
Gaylor has coached his brother Evan Gaylor, who has qualified for the 2024 and 2025 Indoor National Championships in the shot put.
Gaylor, an IUK track and field alumni, was the 2021 NAIA Indoor National Runner Up and the 2021 NAIA Outdoor National Champion in the Shot Put. He resides in Kokomo with his wife Emma (IUK Track and Field alumni and Javelin All-American), and is a registered nurse at Community Howard Regional Health in Kokomo.
